Yorkshire Dales Walking Holidays

Two classic walking holidays in The Yorkshire Dales for summer ‘24

Come and bag the Yorkshire 3 Peaks with us in August, walking to the top of these iconic hills, each on a different day to make the most of this beautiful, inspiring landscape.  Join a small group for a guided break based from the comfort of The Wheatsheaf Inn in the picturesque Dales village of Ingleton.  Single occupancy, en-suite rooms, walk transfers and all meals are included.  August 5-8th (4 days/ 3 nights) £569.

Our full itinerary and details of how to book are here.

YORKSHIRE DALES: MOORLAND AND VALLEY TRAILS (Easy to moderate on moorland tacks)

Easier going than the 3 Peaks trip, this ‘Explore the Dales’ guided break includes superb walking on tracks that weave across the impressive limestone terrain near Ingleton.  Also included is free entry to the famous Ingleton waterfall trail and minibus transfers to and from our walks.  At this time of year, the moors are fragrant with dry grasses, and larks, curlews, kestrels and lapwings provide an atmospheric soundtrack to walks.

Single occupancy, en-suite rooms and all meals are included.  June 3-6th (4 days/ 3 nights) £569.

A sample of customer feedback from our most recent trips to The Dales…

‘Fantastic walking holiday. Good communication on booking, clear information before arrival and a lovely relaxed atmosphere among the group. Walks were well planned and adapted to the group and conditions (hot!). Steve is professional and supportive of every group member.’

‘I had a really wonderful time! Slightly nervous to come alone, but I needn't have been. The people were all very friendly and we had great fun and lots of laughs throughout the trip.  We were really lucky with the weather which was perfect. The walks were fabulous, just the right length and pace for me and the scenery along the way was stunning. I also enjoyed that the routes were quiet and we saw very few people along the way, making it that more special. I thought Steve had a great way of leading us in a quiet, "light touch" way so that it was relaxed but we also got on at the right speed for the group. It felt like we were in safe capable hands, from someone with lots of experience.’

‘Loved the fact that I had to do nothing - just arrive and follow!’

‘Excellent from start to finish. Very well organised and fellow walkers very friendly.’

‘Very well organised. Warm welcome. Good accommodation and food. Knowledgeable and friendly leader. Lovely walks, adjusted to the group and the conditions. Would recommend.’

‘Lovely holiday with lovely people and very supportive leader.’

‘Very friendly staff, bedroom perfect, great selection of choices for breakfast . Packed lunches and evening meals good portion sizes.’

‘Had a great holiday. Accommodation was very good. Walks well planned and expertly led. Great experience. My second holiday with Skyline and I will definitely return.’

‘My first group walking holiday and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. It was very well organised ,the walks were amazing and a great bunch of people to share the whole adventure. Thank you for all your hard work, it is much appreciated.’

‘A really wonderful short break in a stunning location. Steve is a very thoughtful, considerate and caring leader who took us on some truly magical walks. Everything from the accommodation (spacious, spotlessly clean and great staff) to our taxi to and from each day's walk was perfection. Thank you - all your hard work behind the scenes making my holiday so memorable is much appreciated.’
