Walking in the hills is something we are passionate about, and sharing it is a huge pleasure for us - that's why we do it! We'd love to meet you and get to know you. We have scheduled two days in summer when we are offering guided walks to anyone interested (past customers also welcome, of course!).
This is a free taster day of guided walking around the Windermere - a chance to meet others who are keen on getting out and about in the hills, as well as members of the Skyline Walking holidays team.
Our route will be at Easy to Moderate grade, suitable for anyone who can walk at a relaxed pace for 5 to 6 hours with plenty of breaks for snacks, rests and photos.
Meet the Team dates are Saturday June 4th and Sunday July 31st. (Our meeting times are at 10 am and 11 am respectively.) We will return to our start point around 4 pm.
We hope to have a day of superb hiking based from Windermere train station. We'll head down to the lake shore then cross on the ferry to the Claife Heights area, taking in the viewpoint summit and the beautiful Moss Eccles Tarn.
We won't be arranging accommodation on this free taster event, so if you are coming for the weekend please book your own B&B or hotel etc. A good place to look is on the Visit Lakes website here: https://www.visitlakedistrict.com/
