Our 'Relaxed' walking holidays are aimed at those who prefer to take things at a slower pace. We will spend no more than 4 hours of any day on our guided walks and the rest of the time is for you to relax, undertake your own walks, or just do your own thing. Our walk leaders will be delighted to provide maps and suggest routes and local attractions that may appeal to you.
How to get there: Rydal Hall is situated 2 miles north of Ambleside in Cumbria. Postcode LA22 9LX. Drive, or take the train to Windermere and complete the journey (6 miles) by taxi or bus from the railway station. We will supply contact details of taxis and information about bus transfers and the costs of these.
Programme: If you can, join us on the arrival day by 2 pm for a half day local walk to get to know your fellow travellers and the environment close by. For those who are unable to arrive by then, join us for dinner at 6.30 pm, when we will talk through our planned programme.
On days 2, 3 and 4 there will be on offer a day of guided hill walking (i.e. around 4 hours) which we will take at a relaxed pace, making plenty of stops for refreshments and to appreciate the views.
On our Hidden Valleys programme, join a small group to be guided on two and a half days of the most inspiring low-level walking England has to offer. At the end of the day take time to enjoy the architecture and grounds of Rydal Hall, have a drink at the nearby Badger Bar, walk in the footsteps of William Wordsworth, or just do your own thing.
We'll guide you on our favourite walks to the most jaw-dropping scenery with like-minded people who meet as strangers and depart as friends. Just send your booking request using the form on this page and we will be in touch very soon to confirm your place and to request a booking deposit.
If you have any queries, don't hesitate to get in touch.
