EASY WALKING: 5-6 hours daily, covering 6-8 miles at a relaxed pace over mostly level ground through the beautiful Lake District valleys.

Or perhaps The Best of the Yorkshire Dales
MODERATE WALKING: 5-6 hours of walking in a day but typically 7-11 miles covered. Walks include some up and down sections but all on good tracks. An ideal holiday for those who enjoy a little more challenge but without feeling the need to reach the major summits. See our Heart of the Lakes and Borrowdale & North Lakes walking holidays.
MODERATE TO CHALLENGING: Slightly longer days, with up to 7 hours of walking, and over routes up that take in some classic hill summits. Up to 12 miles a day of rewarding hiking, but taken at a steady pace - we want to get to the top, but also enjoy every step (which means not rushing!) See our Classic Summits walking holiday.
CHALLENGING: A walking holiday for those who want to be guided over Scafell Pike and others of the highest tops in England. Our days include up to 8 hours of walking and, of course, a fair bit of ascent and descent! An rewarding but strenuous adventure, ideal for those who have done plenty of hiking before. See our Lakeland Highs programme.
