What’s your ideal walking holiday? Choose by level of challenge...

Choosing the right level of challenge will mean your Skyline guided walking holiday will give you the perfect mix of relaxation, comfort and exercise. Which one is right for you…?

EASY WALKING: 5-6 hours daily, covering 6-8 miles at a relaxed pace over mostly level ground through the beautiful Lake District valleys.

EASY TO MODERATE: 5-6 hours of walking daily, covering 7-10 miles along well-made tracks which occasionally run up and down hill, but all taken at a relaxed pace. Your perfect walking holiday might be our…

MODERATE WALKING: 5-6 hours of walking in a day but typically 7-11 miles covered. Walks include some up and down sections but all on good tracks. An ideal holiday for those who enjoy a little more challenge but without feeling the need to reach the major summits. See our Heart of the Lakes and Borrowdale & North Lakes walking holidays.

MODERATE TO CHALLENGING: Slightly longer days, with up to 7 hours of walking, and over routes up that take in some classic hill summits. Up to 12 miles a day of rewarding hiking, but taken at a steady pace - we want to get to the top, but also enjoy every step (which means not rushing!) See our Classic Summits walking holiday.

CHALLENGING: A walking holiday for those who want to be guided over Scafell Pike and others of the highest tops in England. Our days include up to 8 hours of walking and, of course, a fair bit of ascent and descent! An rewarding but strenuous adventure, ideal for those who have done plenty of hiking before. See our Lakeland Highs programme.
