Top Tips : Lake District away from the crowds

The Lake District is justifiably one of the most popular places to go in the UK, and in 2020 we saw just how many people love it. With foreign travel restricted, 2021 looks to be a similarly busy year, with record visitor numbers expected. The majority of visitors enjoy the attractions of towns like Ambleside, Windermere and Coniston and never get beyond. But finding the quiet spots isn’t that hard. To do it yourself, take a little time to research walks you can do: look online or buy a guide-book. Even better, buy a map and find tracks and features that just catch your eye – waterfalls, tarns, and secret valleys you would love to check out. Or, if you would feel happier going to these less popular spots with other like-minded walkers, we can help. We have just a couple of places left on our June 8-11th Secret Valleys walking holiday. Do get in touch if you would like more info or if you would like us to hold a place for you.https://www.skylinewalking.co.uk/secretvalleys
