Really delighted today to start the Skyline spring walking holiday programme, and great to be back at Rydal Hall surrounded by thundering waterfalls and daffs in bloom.
Our opening hike took us round Rydal Water where it seemed spring had sprung (a leak!).
With water levels higher than at any time in the past year, the poor old daffs were like daffy ducks and the footpaths were awash.
This scenic valley was at its most dramatic today, and we look forward to more of the same tomorrow with a hike that takes us to Skelwith Force and Colwith Force.
