Meet The Venue: Rydal Hall

We are pleased to work with a range of fantastic, unique venues across the UK, but in the South Lakes we have chosen a very special hotel with beautiful, mature grounds and a location for hill walking that is second to none.

Waterfalls crash through the grounds in a mile-long line of cascades, creating pools and picturesque gorges. The rich variety of trees (including a 600-year-old chestnut) adds to the dramatic back-drop and to the feeling of seclusion even though this is less than 2 miles from the busy town of Ambleside.

Using Rydal Hall as a base for our walking holidays in the South Lakes means that we can head straight out from the door and begin a great selection of guided walks, from easy trails to challenging summit hikes. For those who come along to take part in our walking holidays this means a chance to park up for the week and forget about the car.

And if you can arrive by public transport Rydal Hall has great links; a 30-minute bus ride will take you from the front door of the train station in Windermere directly to Rydal Hall.

This is a venue with great eco practices, too, with an efficient recycling system and its own power-generating water turbine.

Here is a quick list of our next visits to this amazing location and at the time of writing we have at least one place available on each. We hope you can join us!...
