Meet the Venue: Bude, Cornwall

The Brendon Arms has all the hallmarks of a family-run venue: a great welcome from friendly staff, a vibrant atmosphere, cosy rooms, and an impressive dinner menu. Only a stone’s throw from the beach, this historic, family run inn provides the perfect, welcoming location for walking some of the classic stretches of the famous southwest coast path.

Here, in a land steeped in legend (smugglers, pirates, and romance – plus of course King Arthur’s famous castle), it is easy to forget that we are not actually abroad in some foreign land. To spend a week walking here is a very special and memorable escape.

Tintagel, Boscastle, Hartland Quay and the wonderfully named Crackington Haven are all on our itinerary as we walk from one amazing location to another. These old Cornish coves and harbours provide great places to take a break and grab some refreshments. And in between, the well-trodden path sails magnificently along the coast, often high above the breakers with views out to Lundy and Wales, now and then diving down to visit an idyllic beach.

We can’t wait to be down in Cornwall again! Join us in spring for a week of fresh air, inspiring views and fantastic walking.

Our 5-day guided walking holiday will take place in Bude from March 27th to 31st.
