A week of two halves! Wonderful, warm spring sunshine made our Peak District walking holiday very special.
However, the sunshine was replaced by damper conditions for a day, which were perfect for honing philosophy (‘let’s make the most of what the weather throws at us…’) and for lending a Hound of The Baskervilles atmosphere to the moorlands. If a Bronte hero had ridden out of the mist and fallen off his horse in front of us, it would have been in keeping.
All great fun! A big thanks to the folks who came along and shared a fab four days of the best walking in the Peak District.
