IT’S SAFER: To trust in an experienced, qualified walk leader means you are with someone who knows the terrain, the weather, and the difficulty of your walk. A guide will ensure that the walking is comfortably within the capabilities of everyone in the party. Your guide will also ‘host’ your walking holiday, taking care of you and liaising with your hotel.
IT’S MORE FUN!: A group that is well-led will stay together for the journey. Friendships can be made and, let’s face it, things are so much more fun when shared.
YOU’LL SEE THE BEST BITS!: Even if you spend time researching before your trip, it will be tough to be as well-informed as an experienced local guide who knows those special places where there is a stunning view, a surprising feature, or a secret picnic spot unvisited by the crowds.
IT’S RELAXING: You won’t have to worry about making decisions to do with navigation and route choice. An experienced guide will suggest the best route for the conditions on the day.
