One of the joys of the job is checking out the routes we have planned for this year's walking holidays. Here's the wonderfully wild valley of Crummackdale on a quiet winter day this week, just waiting for the larks and curlews to show up and fill the moors with song. This is a great day's walk from the village of Clapham in the Yorkshire Dales (fab tea shop and pub), taking a circular route around the valley and all under the nose of the majestic Ingleborough (2372 ft). This is our scheduled walk for day 2 of our Yorkshire Dales walking holiday June 5-8th and a great appetite whetter for the following day's ascent of the great hill itself. Check out our Yorkshire Dales itinerary.
